A Shifting World

I was inspired by a conversation with a film sound designer who detailed his process of creating a "radius of sound" around a villain. The idea is that a series of high-power sound waves cause extreme fear and disturbance to his victims mere moments before his arrival. This seemed like a fitting quality for the sandman. I experimented by playing low rumbles very loud from a subwoofer, causing items around me to rattle and shake. Perhaps the Sandman's proximity to Andrew causes this kind of "earthquake" in Bethany's mind, as though he is a disturbance to the entire inter-connected world of her dream.
